I’ve had quite a few people ask me for a few of my mixes in mp3 format. They are currently all available as streams at MixCloud but I have not had them online as mp3 since I changed this website to WordPress, well now HERE they are.

A New Mix
Took some time this week to make a new mix up, only thing is it’s all old music. Since I have been going through the exercise of recording all my vinyl’s to mp3 I have discovered that I had a hell of a lot of Trance music from the 90′ in particual 1997…. go figure! Anyway it got me inspired to put a few of them into a mix and here we are. It was my goal this year to make one mix a month, so far I have done two! Time to get cracking and put out ten more in the next two months! Enjoy….
If you want to download the mp3 for yourself you can get it HERE
New Speakers
Hey I bought new speakers! To use at parties and stuff, I got sick of hiring them and going back and forth to hire companies, that, and the fact that LightSounds has moved and it is no longer convenient for me to get there. Let me be the first to say that these speakers are cheap only $550 from Alternative Imports but they will more than do the job. I’ve already used them on a small job and things went swimmingly!
Big DJ Set
RvR Media is alive, why don’t you call ?
A new sound and audio company has hit the internet! Well, it’s only me so nothing to get too excited about. I am now working fulltime on my on my business, RvR Media. I provide sound and audio services for the masses, like you. So, live sound, recording, Dj Services, media conversions and more are all provided by the one company, RvR Media. So get with it and book a job in today ! (That’s a call to action right there…) B-) That’s all for now….
Discogs… what have I started ??
So, I’ve begun the laborious task of transferring all my records to digital format. This is no easy job. In the process I have also collected another 1000+ records, it’s going to take ages! I have been working on this for about 2 months and must have down around 200, both sides all the tracks. I’m also being very meticulous about recording them and making sure that I add all the meta data to each of the files that is created. I had also gone to the effort of creating a Discogs account and adding each of the records to My Collection , discogs is great for listing and cataloging your vinyl or CD collection…. I’m a fan…..
Protools 10… yeah !… I think…..???
So I finally cracked and bought ProTools 10, I got it cheap. Since I am currently a student I am entitled to all sorts of discounts, including software from big vendors like Avid. Protools 10 is industry standard, I honestly don’t know why, it is seriously lacking in the features that I am used to in Cubase, the interface seems simple and dumbed down and using it feels like time travel back to 2002….. Never-the-less, if I get future post production work it will at least allow me to give the client something that they are expecting, even if it means that I do the work in Cubase and export it to PT10….. this is what Hans Zimmer does….! Anyway here is a crappy promo video from Sweetwater, and if you are switched on you will realise that many of these ‘new’ features in PT10 have been available in Cubase since 2005, I think the commenter’s agree….
